Children & Youth Ministries
Here at First, we offer programming that helps children of every age and ability to know Jesus and grow in faith.

Nursery
Children, Birth to 2 years old, are cared for in the nursery for the entirety of the Worship Service. Alternatively, the Cry Room at the back of the Sanctuary is available if needed!

Little Lambs
Children, 2 to 3 years old, meet in the Little Lambs room for the entirety of the Worship Service. They will engage in play, song, and a Bible Story!

Children' s Worship
Children, pre-K to 2nd grade, join their parents for the beginning of the Worship Service, receive a blessing from the congregation, and are then dismissed to continue their worship in an age and ability - appropriate way!

All Children
All children are always welcome to join the entirety of the Worship Service. Children's activity sheets, books, and pencils can be found near the entrance of the Sanctuary!

Middlers
Middle School aged students meet on scheduled Sunday evenings throughout the year for fun, connection and to grow in faith.

Youth Group
High School-aged students meet on scheduled Sunday evenings throughout the year for fun, connection, and to grow in faith. The Youth Group also has a fall and winter retreat, hosts and attends special events, engages in community service, and takes one group service and learning trip in the summer.
INTERGENERATIONAL
FAITH ENCOURAGERS
All children in Kindergarten through 5th grade have a Faith Encourager. These adults in the congregation write a letter to their assigned student once every month to encourage them in their faith, share about their lives, and be a loving adult presence. Many Faith Encouragers look to connect with their students at church to show interest in the students’ lives.
HOUSEHOLDS
These small, intergenerational groups meet once a month to share a meal and to pray for each other. They also gather for social events like picnics or movies. While it may not be possible to know everyone in church, our Household groups are safe places to deepen relationships with each other. Each Household is led by an elder who offers spiritual leadership and care.
ADULT OPPORTUNITIES
There are many opportunities for adults to walk in faith together: from Bible studies to prayer groups, book clubs to conversations on last Sunday’s sermon. Email the church office for a list of current adult faith formation opportunities.
